Luigi Pignatiello Italian award winning virtuoso Guitarist and enthusiastic Musical Researcher, is widely considered to be one of the most appreciated and original Guitar players on the contemporary Music scene, as well as a vibrant Entertainer, elegant Composer and Vocalist.
Luigi Pignatiello’s music has been defined a seductive and charming kaliedescope of influences, a modern style in which Jazz and Blues tradition is enriched by elements from different Musical Cultures and by his Mediterrean taste for melody.
At 10 years old Luigi started his studies in Classical Guitar, and by the age of 13 he was already performing live in several concerts.
After graduating with honors from the Conservatoire in Classical Guitar Luigi continued his academic studies in Jazz Music.
Travelling across different countries over the years Luigi has succesfully performed in various international frameworks including Radio, Television, Theater, Festivals as well as in Big Band and Orchestra.
Either in single concerts, touring or recording he has appeared with artists as diverse as Nasheet Waits, Enrico Pieranunzi, Amii Stewart, Jeanne Carroll, Oscar Awarded Nicola Piovani on Soundtracks.
He also played at the Italian “Taranta’s Night Festival” in front of 80.000 people, a one time performance featured a 50 piece Orchestra.
Luigi has been teaching Guitar in Rome and in London where he is currently living and working for one of the most prestigious Academy of Music.
“Best Guitarist of the Year” - Piano Time Magazine 1989, Luigi has released two solo albums “Crossworld- Introducing Luigi Pignatiello Quartet” and “According to me - Luigi Pignatiello Trio”, both CDs with original compositions and standards.
